Awaiting the Bride With violin and piano accompaniment, Gretchen sang a lovely solo to her husband-to-be from inside the house.
Gretchen's sister, Ingrid, offers a lovely tribute. Kent Martindale can be seen behind Ingrid.
Former Students Scott Lash on the left, Scott Martindale on the right. We haven't seen Scott Martindale, Gretchen's cousin, in more than twenty years. What a blessing to see him again! Scott M. was the photographer. Several beautiful photographs that Scott took during a trip to Europe can be seen in the house.
Whitney (Martindale) Burk, another student from the early eighties, with her handsome sons! She and her husband are busy serving the Lord at Anchorage Christian Camp in North Carolina.
In place of a wedding cake, a beautiful dessert was offered. Gretchen encouraged all the guests to eat a creme puff in memory of her dad, stating that he might have eaten all of them if he had been there.
A view of the wedding tents in back of the house, as seen from Route 17. Gretchen's lovely horses were turned out on the side of the house. The stone dust area is actually her riding ring. The beautiful raised beds cannot be seen from this view.
Look of Love
Susan Anderson, mother of the bride. In memory of Thaddeus Anderson, VMD, father of the bride.
